GS member Peggy Tuck Sinko will tell the story of Lutherans and Lutheran congregations in Oak Park and River Forest from the 1860s to the founding of Good Shepherd in 1936. Why were seven different Lutheran churches organized in Oak Park, while only four remain open today?

Peggy Tuck Sinko has been a member of Good Shepherd since 1990. She is a retired historian/librarian from the Newberry Library in Chicago and is a volunteer for the Oak Park River Forest Museum.
