Sunday Forums return in September. We kick off the year with member Susan Greeley. Susan will give a presentation on the Mobile Crisis program offered by Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI). Mobile crisis counselors go into Chicago schools when the regular counselors encounter behavior that is too difficult for them to address. Crisis counselors are trained to recognize severe trauma in students of all ages. They are skilled at deescalating high emotions and then working directly with students to create a unique safety plan for use in the future.
