Sunday Forum: Books Abound!

Come and hear about the exciting improvements in our own church library! Our volunteer “head librarian,” Greg McClain will be our presenter!

For a while now, members of the congregation have asked about organizing the many books that have been sitting on the shelves in the Fellowship Hall. Those questions sparked a larger conversation about how we might turn that collection into a true resource for the whole church. In response, we have begun the process of creating a small but well‑organized church library!

The first step has been going through all the books and materials, reviewing their condition, and sorting them into categories. From there, each item is being cataloged using the Dewey Decimal System. This will make it much easier for anyone to find materials on Bible study, Christian living, theology, devotionals, and more.

A program called TinyCat will allow members to browse the collection from home, search by topic or author and see what’s available.
TinyCat will also support a simple checkout system so we can keep track of materials and continue growing the collection responsibly.

This project began because people noticed a need—and it is becoming a new ministry that supports learning, spiritual growth, and community life. Check out our collection!
