Adult Forum: Christians in Bethlehem

Sunday, September 21, 2014 - 9:15am

Christians have been in Bethlehem for 2000 years. The ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict makes it difficult for them to live. In 1990-91 (1st Gulf War) The Olivewood Project was created by Michael Zoughbi to help wood carvers who lost their tourism outlet. Since then the project has grown to support 46 families. On Sunday, September 21st during the Education Hour at 9:15am, come listen to Michael and Carmen Zoughbi speak about the Olivewood Project and what it is like to be a practicing Christian in the Middle East. The Olivewood Project not only helps families earn a living, but it supports peace and justice in the greater community. Michael and Carmen are devoted members of the Melkite Catholic tradition.
