Christmas Camp

Our preparation time for our Christmas Eve Family Service (12/24 at 5:00pm) will again take place at our "Christmas Camp" on Monday, December 21 and Tuesday, December 22 from 4:00 to 6:00pm each day. During this time, we will work on the service, including fitting costumes, practicing songs, rehearsing prelude music and going through the flow of the service.

Our hope is that those that will not be here on Christmas Eve can still have meaningful class time during Sunday School in December as we teach more about Advent. We also hope that the Christmas Camp will be both productive and fun!! For more information, and to let Deaconess Debbie know your family’s plans for Christmas Eve, please contact her at

Support the Peace Oasis Za'atari Refugee Camp in Jordan

Wednesday, February 17, 2016 - 8:00am - Sunday, March 27, 2016 - 9:15am

This Year's Pinata Offering goes to the Lutheran World Federation for the Peace Oasis which gives psychological support and training for youth and young adults: Globally there are more people who are displaced from their homes than during WWII. Conflict, global warming and threats of violence have forced people to flee their homes. The vast majority of the 3.9 million refugees from Syria are living within neighboring countires with the largest UN Camp located in Jordan. This year's pinata offering taken evey Sunday and Wednesday goes towards the Peace Oasis at the Za'atari camp in Jordan. Make your donation online.

You can be a Sunday School Volunteer!

What a privilege it is to share God's story with our young people! Our rotation model of Sunday School means that you prepare your lesson once and then teach it 1-3 weeks to different age groups of children. Materials are provided and team-teaching is encouraged! For more information, please contact Deaconess Debbie. Check out the online sign up here. Thank you!

Sunday School at Good Shepherd

Both students and adults love Rotation Sunday School! Kids love it because they spend 2-3 weeks on one story and get to experience it through fun activities like art, games, science, drama, music and video. Adults love it because they can sign up to teach the short rotations rather than a year-long commitment!

Our Sunday School time begins at 9:15am with music and story intro in the Sanctuary. Students then attend their rotation for that week. The education hour wraps up at 10:15 with parents meeting students at their individual classrooms for pick up.   Read more »
